Women in Mining Nigeria to hold Monthly Virtual WIMTI Class September 15

In adherence to its tradition and commitment to providing useful knowledge and insights to players in the sector, Women in Mining Nigeria has scheduled its monthly Women in Mining Training Institute (WIMTI) Virtual Class for September 15 2022. The class which will hold on the zoom platform and is open to participation from all interested parties.
The class will focus on safety and security infrastructures and their impact on Mining productivity, as well as issues around sustainability and gender in natural resource governance, with keynote lectures by Saidou Kabre, a renowned economist and investment specialist with experience spanning 20 years in development management and artisanal and Mining.
Also speaking is Dr Hibist Kassa, a specialist in African political economy, especially with regards to ensuring Women have a say in resource management. She is also very concerned about sovereignty with emphasis on self-determination, self-reliance, and alternative development pathways, especially as they concern Women in Africa.
The class promises to be insightful and welcomes participation from members of Women in Mining in Nigeria and beyond, operators in the mining sector, policymakers, regulatory bodies, and other concerned stakeholders.
